How Does HP Instant Ink Work?
Instead of purchasing individual ink cartridges, HP Instant Ink supplies you with as many ink cartridges as you need at no cost (even the shipping is free). The caveat is that you have to pay a monthly fee and the number of pages you can print each month is limited.
Since HP needs to keep track of the number of pages that you print each month, you’ll have to connect to the internet before you can print. And since you didn’t actually buy the ink cartridges, you won’t be able to print using Instant Ink cartridges after you cancel your subscription. In fact, you’ll need to send the remaining ink cartridges back to HP should you decide to cancel.
Note: Printing on both sides of the same sheet of paper counts as two pages.

Can I Pause my HP Instant Ink Subscription?
Yes, it’s possible to pause your HP Instant Ink subscription for up to 6 months. However, Instant Ink for Business plans cannot be paused.
