With over 5 Billion downloads in Google Play, Google Calendar has become an essential app for many people. But you’d be surprised at some clever ways that Google Calendar can be used even with the removal of ‘Goals’ in November 2022.
For example, 29% of Americans couldn’t pay their bills on time in 2023 according to Financial Health Pulse’s U.S. Trend Report. If we rely on Google Calendar to remind us of an important work meeting, why not rely on it to remind us when our due dates are coming up?
How to Add Bill Reminders Using Google Calendar Events
Using Google Calendar as a bill management tool can be done by following these steps:
- Go to https://calendar.google.com/ or open the Google Calendar App
- Change your calendar view to ‘Monthly’
- Create an ‘Event’ for a bill due date (be sure to name it appropriately)
- Be sure to ‘Add Time’ or edit the event details and ‘Add Notification’
- Repeat steps 3 & 4 until all bill due dates have reminders
- Be sure your device has Notifications Turned On
If you prefer email reminders instead of push notifications, go to ‘Event Details’, click on ‘Notification’, and select ‘Email.’
